Description of the problem	Tl* takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 mercedes-benz c300. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 16v363000 (air bags) and 16v081000 (air bags); however, the parts needed for the repairs were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the parts would become available in december of 2018. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available. * consumer stated mercedes sent letters (2) that stated new airbags would be available on specific dates. After i called 1 day prior to the last date given (and after waiting months) i was informed over the phone that it would be delayed, yet again, another six months. This is going on two years now. They also have stated that since no "incident" have occurred they are not concerned about the safety of the car. The news channel have reported that the risk of danger increases with the age of the car and humidity. I live in florida & the car is going on nine years old. The last letter stated airbags would be available june 30 of 2018 and when they knew they weren't going to adhere to that they did not make any attempt to contact me & still haven't.
