Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2007 lincoln town car. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 to 45 mph down a ramp, he engaged the brakes and the vehicle abnormally accelerated. He continued to engage the brakes using both feet to avoid a potential crash. He was able to bring slow the vehicle down and drive onto an emergency lane. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to the dealer several times regarding the failure. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and referred him back to the dealer where a monitor equipped with a kill switch was installed on the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure did not persist and the monitor was removed from the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000 and the current mileage was 46,500.
