| Description of the problem | Seat belt alarm started going off. Ford service department said they knew of the condition. The seat belt is not working correctly and in case of an accident the air bag/s will not engage. This is a safety hazard that the ford company has known about and refuses to fix at their cost. It is about $1,000. 00 and i do not have that kind of money.. This to me doesn't seem any different then gm knowing there is a safety problem but refuses to do a recall. Ford service department claims there hasn't been enough reports of the problem to do a recall. So not having the money to fix this, i'm risking my life and anyone riding in the front seat with me each and every time i drive the car. I would appreciate any and all help on this matter. |
