Description of the problem	My sync software on my lincoln mkz won't update because the apim is defective. Ford/lincoln previously provided a 5 year warranty extension on this component. This defective apim causes my volume to either turn all the way up or all the way down, no in between. It also causes the music from my phone to play on my phone speakers rather than the car speakers and also randomly disconnects my phone. The five year warranty expired about one year ago but i feel like this should still be covered because it causes a safety hazard when my phone disconnects and i have to attempt to fix it so i can utilize the hands-free phone features.
