Description of the problem	Tl* the contact's wife owns a 2010 lincoln mkz. The contact stated that after the brake pads were replaced by an independent mechanic, the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard while driving, without warning. The contact's wife had taken the vehicle back to the independent mechanic twice where the mechanic bled the brake lines. The brake pedal and the brake master cylinder were replaced. Despite the repairs, the failure persisted. The contact then took the vehicle to riata ford (10507 us-290, manor, tx 78653) where the mechanic performed the same repairs as the independent mechanic however, the exact cause the failure was not yet determined. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 19v904000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was 169,385.
