Description of the problem	After braking in an emergency situation the brake pedal has excessive travel which is exactly as described in safety recall 19v904000. I checked the vin and this vehicle is not listed as being included in the recall but it definitely has the problem. I spoke with ford and unless the recall includes this vin they will not repair as a recall, but rather at my expense. I was travelling in the middle lane of a 3 lane highway going approximately 60 miles per hour and the vehicles in front of me braked hard causing me to brake hard as well. It was a rainy morning and the abs activated and i felt the brake pedal soften and go down about another inch where it still provided braking but i can feel that it is lower than before and there is a point at which i can feel the brakes but still need to depress further to achieve good stopping. This is the third time that this happened. Previous times the brakes seemed ok the next day. This time i can still feel that there is something very different.
