| Description of the problem | Brakes were intermittently failing to work. When they most often failed was after hitting a pot hole or small bump in the road approaching a situation to stop with the foot on the brake pedal. The abs system would kick in and the brake pedal would go to the floor losing pressure and braking. I have had several near miss accidents and have blown stop signs and red lights because of this issue. Had it in the shop several times to have it checked out. What i had replaced was the hydraulic control assemby for the abs system. A valve was sticking in the module that caused this to happen. I have kept the part. I have tried to contact ford to no avail. |
