| Description of the problem | Takata recall. In the month of july 2016 i received a letter from the lincoln motor company, dated july 2016 stating "when parts become available for safety recall 16s26, the lincoln motor company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer to have the passenger frontal airbag inflator replaced." two phone calls to dealer on 8/8/16 regarding this matter have not been returned as of 11/9/16. Four months seems to be a long time to get this issued corrected as it puts members of my family in harms way anytime i drive the car with a passenger in the front seat. How long is this expected to take for parts to be available and then how long will it take for the dealer to handle the replacement? Four months of a known safety hazard not being fixed is too long in my opinion. |
