| Description of the problem | I have a 2007 lincoln mkx. Within the past 3 months or so, i have had 3 different valve stem malfunctions (leaky stems on 3 different tires) resulting in my vehicle being disabled. The last one causing my tire to blow out. I was told by a tech that it was the valve stem on the first two tires so when my tire sensor warned me of low pressure today, i checked my stems. Sure enough... One was leaking. I was approximately 35 miles from home and it is christmas day... So i aired up my tire and headed home. Approx ten miles down the street, my tire blew out (beyond repair). I thank god that my son and i who were traveling alone were not injured... But with this being the 3rd leaky stem, i would say that there is truly a problem with my continental cross contact lx tires. I have size p245/60r18. |
