Description of the problem	2007 lincoln mkx caught fire. Consumer believes that it caught fire due to a gas tank issue on 2008 lincoln mkx vehicles with gas tank problems. kb the consumer stated she noticed fire coming from the rear of the vehicle and while doing so, she briefly left the roadway and hit a mailbox and school sign and ran into a ditch. The consumer turned the vehicle off and attempted to exit the drivers side door, but the flames were so intense, that her jacket caught on fire. The consumer immediately closed the door as flames were everywhere. The consumer eventually exited the passenger side and within seconds, the vehicle began making popping sounds and then it blew up. It had completely burned before the fire trucks arrived. The consumer believed the gas tank ruptured. jb
