| Description of the problem | Our car was identified as ford/lincoln safety recall 14s22 involving corrosion of the fuel tank. South hills lincoln made a poor decision to treat tank with anti-corrosive in late september 2016 versus replace the fuel tank. Our fuel tank commenced leaking on 8/23 and is unsafe to drive. As dealer was paid by ford in 2016 ford has indicated that they are not going to pay dealer 2x for same recall. Work done is beyond 12 month warranty for recall repair. I have had to rent a car because my mkx is unsafe to drive leaking fuel. Tank is $2,770 plus labor. As recall has no expiration date, ford/south hills lincoln need to fix safety problem. Help! |
