| Description of the problem | On 11/30/2014, the glass sunroof exploded on my 2010 lincoln mkt while driving on the ny thruway at night, at highway speed, in clear weather, on straight, dry pavement -- very loud, startling explosion. Sunroof remained in place. Able to maintain control of vehicle. No injuries, but very frightening experience. Did not discover extent of damage until next morning, in daylight: glass had remained in place and did not shatter, but spiderweb cracks throughout. Lincoln customer service department referred me to the sunroof manufacturer/supplier. No further response from anyone after my complaint in a telephone conversation with the sunroof supplier/manufacturer, shortly after the incident. |
