| Description of the problem | I was going north on collier avenue in naples, florida stopped at the intersection with davis avenue at 3 pm with my foot on the brake when there was unintended acceleration. I jammed down hard on the brake and shifted into neutral. The motor reved up hard for a short time, the light turned green, the cars ahead pulled forward, i shifted into drive, took my foot off the brake, and the car and accelerator returned to normal and i proceeded forward. Everything returned to normal. I am familiar with unintended acceleration because i experienced it previously in my 1995 (not positive of exact year) audi. |
