| Description of the problem | On february 11, 2020 my 2015 lincoln mkc had been sitting stationary in my garage for 26 hours when the engine spontaneously caught fire. I opened my garage, smoke was pouring out and there were flames coming out of the hood at the windshield line. The car had just turned 40,000miles, was certified preowned, serviced at lincoln dealership where it was purchased. After the fire fighters left, the battery continued to smoke until a wire was disengaged. |
