| Description of the problem | During a 100k mile tune up, i attempted to change spark plugs. Out of 3 plugs, 2 broke off in engine block. The truck was then taken to a mechanic who broke off 3 more. They told me that ford is very aware of the problem and would not do anything about it. It cost me $800 to have spark plugs removed. Now it appears that a part of the old plug broke off into the cylinder head, not removed by original shop, causing more damage that is currently being looked at by another shop. |
