Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 lincoln ls. The contact was driving 30 mph when the check engine and wrench warning lights illuminated. Whenever the lights were illuminated, the vehicle would decelerate and then stall for approximately three seconds. The engine would have to be turned off and then restarted in order for the vehicle to reset itself. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that the emission coil needed to be replaced. The emission coil was replaced however three weeks after the repairs, the vehicle begin exhibiting signs of the same failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage was 90,958. |
