| Description of the problem | This vehicke was purchased new in march of 2014. I am the originalk owner. While making an out of town trip the vehicle had a lound knocking noise and lost power. I took the vehickle to an independent garage. The infomred me that the oil pump quit functioning and that caused the motor to throw a rod. When this occured the vehicle had 86,000 miles on it. Kia has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. Additionally, i purhcased an extended warranty froim the dealership that would cover the power train for 20 years and 200,000 miles. The vehicle has been delivered to a kia delaership and so far i am hearing excuses on why they will not honor the warranty. This is despite the fact i have performed regualr oil changes with full synthetic oil since i purchased the vehicle. |
