Description of the problem	My car with 138,700 miles quit accelerating while driving on the highway. Had it towed to an independent shop since i was out of town. Told the bottom of my engine failed and there was metal shavings in my oil. Had normal maintenance done and 2 weeks before my car stopped running had it checked and oil changed. No metal shavings and no leak. My car had oil in it. Told by kia dealer that my vin was not on recall list despite mechanic stating that what had occurred to my car was eerily similar to why the engines were being recalled. No reason given for my engine to fail. Had car towed to kia dealer. Kia dealer then stated that it would be 11k to fix my car. Called kia customer service. Once more told my vin was not affected and that my engine would not be fixed under recall. Kia dealer stated there was no obvious reason why the bottom of my engine would fail.
