Description of the problem	I was driving on a straight, open 4 lane, divided highway with no problems. All of a sudden the engine started making a knocking noise. The knocking sound got louder so i pulled off the highway and into a gas station parking lot. When i tried to restart it, the engine did not sound like it was running properly. In doing research after having the vehicle towed to my house, i read about kia sportage 2013 recalls for bearings causing engine failure. Checking my vin showed that there were no recalls on my vehicle but i think it might be possible that my engine was one of those affected by the recall mentioned above.
