| Description of the problem | Driving home on the highway at approximately 60 mph, car died with hardly anytime to pull to side of highway safely. I had the car towed to not one, but two auto repair shops. I was told the engine seized. World kia of joliet was the second shop, upon hearing about the recall on cars similar to mine. Of course just like everyone else, my car was not vin specific to the recalled cars, i was denied any assistance. My car has only 88,000 miles on it, and has been well maintained. I do find it fishy, that all the complaints on this site majority are for 2013 kia sportage's, has similar vin numbers, meaning they were made at the same distribution center. |
