| Description of the problem | We were driving on a parkway at approximately 55-65 mph when without warning the check engine light, oil lamp, and battery light came on. Simultaneously my husband (the driver) reported that the car would no longer accelerate. The garage it was towed to reported that they could get the car to start but there was a noise coming from the bearings and the engine would stall shortly after. This description matches a recent recall, but on sportages only the 2. 0l turbo engine was included, and we have the 2. 4l engine. This engine was recalled on other models, however. |
