| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 kia sportage. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated on the instrument panel. The front passenger seat sensor also illuminated while a passenger was occupying the seat; the air bag light would also intermittently shut on and off. The contact took his vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer diagnosed the seat belt tension sensor , and various other unknown sensors. The dealer also mention that the passenger air bag light was up to code and it was normal for the light to intermittently turn off and on if the occupant was moving in the seat. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 31,400. |
