| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 kia soul. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, there was a loud knocking sound coming from engine. The contact had to fully depress the brake pedal for the vehicle to slow down. The contact pulled the vehicle to side of the roadway. The contact became aware of fluids leaking from underneath the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a rod going thru the engine block. The contact stated that the failure was related to nhtsa campaign number: 19v120000 (engine, engine and engine cooling) for which the vin was included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested that the failure was not related to the recall. The failure mileage was 94,000. |
