| Description of the problem | At the end of february 2020 my vehicle would not accelerate over 40 mph. The vehicle was taken to the local kia dealer for repairs. Reportedly the issue was related to the catalytic converter and value purge control, both where replaced. In june the vehicle was taken in for an oil change, but the technician recommended it be returned to the dealer due to metal shavings seen in the tank. Kia recently issued a warning about changing the oil as recommended. The vehicle has been properly maintained, yet the oil seems to evaporate after 1200 miles. This is problematic and hazardous because the check engine light has never illuminated with any of the noted issues. |
