Description of the problem	car make and model- kia soul 1. 6 2015 on or around 07/05/2019, a check engine light came on the car dashboard, i called cherry hill kia in new jersey and was asked to bring the car in for an sc176 ecu upgrade. In less than a year after the upgrade the same check engine light came on again and cherry hill kia diagnosed p0420 code which is related to the same issue from last year's recall with nhtsa recall bulletin reference number-19v120000.
