Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2015 kia soul. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle would not accelerate above 5 mph. The contact pulled over and inspected the vehicle. The contact opened the hood and noticed that the engine was very hot. The contact stated that the engine was orange colored. The contact removed the oil filler cap and became aware that there was no oil in the engine. The contact added two quarts of engine oil however, twenty minutes later the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to jeffrey kia located at (30800 gratiot ave, roseville, mi 48066) for a diagnosis. The diagnosis was that the catalytic converter and piston rods failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 19v120000 (engine and engine cooling) as the cause of the failure however, the vin was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed the vehicle was not included. The failure mileage was 150,000.
