Description of the problem	One day i heard a rattling noise while driving. The next day, the noise turned into a very loud ticking/knocking sound. I keep my oil changed every 3000 miles so it could not be that there was not any oil in the vehicle. I had it towed to the dealership as i was afraid to drive it because i had heard that the cars were catching on fire. I inquired about this and was told there were not any open recalls on engine damage with kia souls and a diagnostic would be performed. A few days later i was informed that the engine was gone and advised $6800 to repair. The funny thing is i have been asked repeatedly, how would the engine go out in a 4 year old car? I was also advised that there was no warranty remaining on the car from the manufacturer as i was the second owner of the vehicle and the warranty ended at 60,000 miles. Ironically, my engine failed at 68,729. Now, i'm stuck with a car that doesn't run and owe almost $10000 on it. I am beyond heated with anger. I can't trade it due to the negative equity and it costs more to repair it than what the car is actually valued at.
