Description of the problem	At 113000 miles (13000 past warranty) the 2. 0 liter gdi engine threw a rod through the engine block. No warning. Vehicle was accelerating from access lane onto freeway. Vehicle has been serviced regularly at local kia dealership. Had reported on several occasions of a infrequent hiccup when accelerating. Upon research recall was issued for 1. 6l kia soul motor because of the same problem. Debris had been left in engine at manufacturing causing engine to deteriorate and destroy itself without warning. Class action lawsuits have been settled for multiple kia models from the same 2014 time period with the same problem. Resolution was monetary and extension of warranty to 120000 miles. We have spoken with kia america and our local dealer. No assistance or recognition of the problem has been offered. This issue had affected numerous 2014 kia soul owners that have the same engine and no one is getting anywhere with the manufacturer. Please help us!
