Description of the problem	The engine died with no warning on the highway. Had to be towed to mechanic, where they found there was no oil in the engine, but no oil leak. Must now replace entire engine or buy a new car. Car has had regular oil changes (died on a thursday, next oil change had been scheduled for saturday) and an extra quart of oil was added 2 weeks prior to engine failure due to low oil levels (we chalked this up to extra driving for vacation). Mechanic found no leak at previous oil changes. As stated by other owners with this problem, it seems like something in the engine is malfunctioning causing oil to burn off and the engine to overheat and die. The car was very hot/burn smelling when i got it off the road, to the point where i was afraid to sit in it for fear of explosion. My mechanic agrees this is a kia malfunction and has agreed to keep my engine in storage for further claim investigation. As kia has a history or catching fire, i believe this issue is worthy of an investigation and recall. Please help!
