Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2013 kia soul. While driving at an unknown speed, a piston rod disconnected and punctured the engine. The failure caused oil to leak and the engine to smoke due to oil leaking onto the hot exhaust component. The contact was concerned that the engine would catch on fire and she quickly pulled the vehicle over. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vin was not included in a recall.
