Description of the problem	On december 24th, around 9:30 at night, i was driving south on i25 (highway) toward denver at approximately 70 mpg. My family, including my wife, 2 boys and mother-in law were passengers. The temperature was approximately 40 degrees and i was driving straight. With no warning, a large thunderous boom sounded, similar to a gunshot. The sunroof had basically exploded. We did not know what happened as we did not go under a bridge or any other structure that could have dropped debris on the car to create such damage. I pulled over at the next exit to examine the damage and to check on the passengers. My mother in law sustained a minor cut due to the glass. There was no sign of debris or a possible bullet that could have come from a gun shot.... The loud noise sounded like a gun shot. The sunroof now had a huge 2 foot diameter hole and shattered glass was located throughout the passenger compartment. I was only 4 miles away from my home, so the attached pictures were taken from my garage the next morning.
