Description of the problem	My spouse was driving her kia sorento home from work when the vehicle would not pick up speed. The lane changed from 2 lanes to 1 lane so she had to merge over doing 70mph. With the lack of being able to accelerate, she had to brake to avoid an accident. When she did merge, the check engine light came on and the vehicle just shut off. She then was able to pull off the road. She turned the car off and tried to restart it and was unsuccessful. She then called our insurance companies roadside service. The tow truck driver tried to see if he was able to get it stated but could not. The vehicle was then towed to the kia dealer in killeen, texas. The service advisor called us back and informed us that the entire engine had to be replaced. My wife could have been seriously injured or even killed. There was apparently a recall on these vehicles that we were not notified by either mail or a phone call. This is completely un-acceptable.
