Description of the problem	I noticed my rear seatbelt had a severe tear. I took the vehicle to a certified lia dealership to have the damage assessed. The technician explained that due to seatbelts being extremely durable, this was the cause of a defective seatbelt retractor. Once the seatbelt tore, the airbag light came on and locked the seatbelt in place. The seatbelt is unable to be used. Any passenger would be injured or potentially face death.
