Description of the problem	Tl*the contact owns a 2005 kia sorento. The contact stated that the driver was driving approximately 50 mph in the rain, when she heard a loud clunking noise the steering wheel became very stiff and difficult to turn. During the failure, the battery light as well as various other warning lights began illuminating on the instrument panel. The vehicle was parked.
