| Description of the problem | 05 kia sorento. The harmonic balancer bolt doesn't adequately secure the balancer or pulley. Thru normal use, the bolt becomes loose causing damage to the balancer. The damaged balancer causes the pulley to become damaged, and all of the accessory belts run by the crankshaft pulley are damaged. The "fix" offered by kia does nothing to permanently fix the problem. I have now taken my vehicle to an ase certified mechanic twice in the last year and the problem still exists. Costs have now reached over $2100 and counting!!!!! |
