Description of the problem	Traveling at 70 mph, cruise control on, the car decelerated rapidly and lost ability to accelerate. Check engine light illuminated. Was able to pull off to shoulder. Car was shut off and restarted, accelerator started to work but check engine light remained on. After driving another 50 miles the same thing happened. This is not the first time it has occurred, on this occasion we were able to safely pull over. On one occasion we were in kansas city rush hour traffic in the center lane, cars behind us came to a screeching stop to avoid hitting us. Very scary situation! After the car is shut off and sits for a few hours the check engine light turns off when started. With no check engine light there is no error code to diagnose the problem. This is a problem that needs to be addressed by kia. I have read articles that state this was a problem on previous model years and they were recalled. *js
