| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 kia sedona. The contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. After two hours of operating the vehicle, an abnormal fuel odor was present. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician stated that the vehicle's inserts were fractured and the control arm needed to be replaced. The cabin filter was replaced, but the fuel odor was still present. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v387000 (suspension); however, the dealer refused to perform the repair due to the vehicle not being in one of the states affected by the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 134,000. Parts distribution disconnect. |
