Description of the problem	Tl*the contact owns a 2008 kia optima. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag indicator illuminated, which meant that the air bag was deactivated. The indicator never illuminated to indicate that it was activated. The failure occurs intermittently and without warning. The contact finds this to be very unsafe because there was no guarantee that the air bag would activate in the event of a crash.
