| Description of the problem | My kia optima accelerator sensor went out about a week ago. It would not go above 20 miles an hour. I turned the ignition off and restarted it. When i did that, it took off like a jack rabbit without even touching the gas pedal. Dealership towed it for repairs. They said it was dangerous to drive. It was determined to be the accelerator throttle sensor. The defect was repaired and no further incidents have occurred to date. |
