Description of the problem	My vehicle is a 2012 kia optima hybrid. I have basically had engine problems since driving off the lot. Started small and ended up like many others here where after experiencing very loud revving in the engine as i was bringing my car to a stop there was a loud boom from the rear of the vehicle and a thud. I felt like i had been rear ended. After trying to drive it back to a safe space the loud revving stopped as an engine rod was thrown and my hybrid warning sign appeared and the engine then died. The tow truck driver told me i was leaking oil. He towed it back tot he kia dealership where i got the same news as most complaining here... Oil sludge and an $11,000 fix. There is a definite engine defect in these vehicles and kia needs to do the right thing and recall the engine and make their customers whole. The consumer stated the dealership was knowingly selling vehicles with unrepaired safety recalls. js the consumer stated the engine had catastrophic engine failure js.
