Description of the problem	While driving on the highway at approximately 70 mph, the jeep began to shake (wabble) violently. The steering column became hard to control due to the shaking of the jeep. Slowing down did not seem to help so i pulled off the freeway and came to a complete stop. This alleviated the issue temporarily. However, the shaking/wabble occurred 6 more times during my 200-mile trip. I took my jeep into the dealer to get fixed and waited 3 weeks for the part to come in. During this time, the wabble happened twice at freeway speeds (65 mph+). Both times, i had to pull off the freeway and come to a complete stop to remedy the issue. My servicing dealer replaced the steering dampener as they said that was the issue. Unfortunately, at freeway speed, i encountered the shaking/wabble again. Speeds of 50 mph or less do not seem to trigger the shaking, but it occurs intermittently at speeds over 50 mph. As long as i am in the slow lane with room to exit the road, it is safe to drive. However, it is a huge safety issue if there is no way to exit the roadway when it occurs as the only way to stop the shaking is to come to a complete stop.
