| Description of the problem | Loose steering, vehicle wants to wander at highway speeds and hard to control on windy roads. This is a very dangerous issue. Jeep has issued a tsb 08-074-20 for a steel steering gear (replacing stock aluminum part). Because it is a tsb and not a recall, there is too much subjectivity in defining "loose steering". Also, because all 2018 and 2019 jeep wranglers have this aluminum gear the dealer can simply say "they all drive like this". Some jeep owners are getting help from their dealers, but many many others are not. This tsb needs to be converted into a recall asap! |
