| Description of the problem | Steering has about a 2 inch dead spot in the middle where when you turn the wheel and the steering does not respond. It also has a "wandering" over the road that gets amplified with the dead spot. You wind up constantly doing small steering corrections to compensate and it gets tiring to do so. Feel like you are wandering in your lane even though you are on a straight road. Been to the dealership 3 times for this and still no fix. They've replaced the steering gear box and the damper (per fca recall). The first 2 trips to the dealer yielded them basically blowing me off ans stated it drives as designed. That's not correct, it does not drive correctly. |
