| Description of the problem | Driving my new 2018 jeep wrangler rubicon for the first time in snowy conditions, i turned on the front window defrost while pulling out of the driveway and immediately heard a popping noise. The windshield cracked due to the defrost coming on. The windshield cracked at the base of the windshield in the center of the suv directly above the defrost vents. The crack went up from the base 3 inches and took a hard left towards the drives side. There was not a impact to the windshield of any kind. I have contacted chrysler jeep and they have said "glass is not covered under warranty". This windshield is defective. |
