Description of the problem	Fca (jeep chrysler) has issued a notification to owners via v88: "the rear quarter windows vertical retainer on your vehicle may not be properly installed to the door rail after removal. This condition may cause the soft top rear quarter window panels to separate from the vehicle while driving at highway speeds." this very situation actually occurred in our vehicle while driving at high speed (i. E. The speed limit) on i95 in virginia on 3/3/20. Without any warning, the rear quarter panel blew out onto the highway. The noise was so startling, it is amazing the driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle. Also, no other motorist was impacted by the dislodged window (this time). However, as this was in the evening on a high-speed interstate, it was not safe to pull over and try to retrieve the window from the driving lanes so, we are not certain that the dislodged window did not then present a potential road hazard to other motorists. Pdf i am trying to seek reimbursement from fca to replace the window but they refuse to take responsibility for the incident. The greater concern is that it could happen to us again and, more than likely, will happen to many other drivers of similar vehicles. I suspect not all cases will have outcomes where no one will be injured (or killed).
