Description of the problemWith about 1100 miles on this brand new jeep i hit a bump on the highway at 65-70 mph. The jeep started to shake violently and i had all i could do to hold on to the steering wheel. If you slow down to under 40 mph the shaking stops. Ever since anytime i am on a highway at 60 mph or more even a bridge joint will cause the jeep to go into it's shake, rattle, and roll routine. I can always stop it by immediately slowing down but in heavy boston traffic this is simply not a safe alternative. For a $40,000 vehicle that has hardly been driven yet i think this is a manufacturing defect that is extremely dangerous. I hope you will take it seriously as this defect has been going on in jeeps for years and it has not been addressed. If you don't think it's a safety issue you take it on rte 128 at rush hour and get back to me when it gives you a heart attack.
