| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 jeep wrangler. While driving approximately 60 mph, a loud banging and wrenching noise suddenly occurred and the vehicle began to shake violently from side to side. The driver could also feel heat coming from the floor of the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, a tow truck was called to the scene. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the driveshaft had severed, separated from the steel encasement, and exploded through the floor of the vehicle. The failure caused a hole in the floorboard. The vehicle was towed to texan chrysler dodge jeep ram (18555 hwy 59 n., humble, tx 77338). The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
