| Description of the problem | Jeep wrangler's manual transmission does not have a reverse lockout and pop's out of reverse routinely when power is applied or you pump the clutch after already successfully entering reverse. The vehicle operator must manually hold the gear shift lever in the reverse position to maintain reverse. This has manifested at around the 500 mile mark and progressively worsened my current odometer reading is 1656. Additionally the lack of a reverse lockout or special procedure to enter reverse is missing making it possible for the operator to mistakenly grind the reverse gears at highway speeds when transitioning from 5th to 6th gear. |
