| Description of the problem | Jeep was stationary waiting for light to change on city street. When light turned green i stepped on accelerator; while still pushing foot down on pedal the engine started to rev up to max rpms but jeep was not moving forward. I was afraid the engine would keep revving and blow up. I instantly removed foot from gas and let jeep roll; put on emergency flashing lights and turned (rolled off) to parking lot one block away and turned jeep off. After a few minutes i restarted car and slowly drove the six blocks home. Took it to authorized jeep dealer and the service department could find no error code, said that they test drove it and could find nothing wrong with the jeep. |
