| Description of the problem | Many service lights related to evaporation leak, dealer kept resetting, and replaced gas cap and paid for countless checks each time the service light came on over the course of a year. Finally discovered fuel was leaking out of the tank, and as a result i had to replace my fuel tank, fuel filler hose, fuel transfer tube, fuel vapor tube, fuel canister purge, and fuel supply tube at a high cost. When speaking to the dealer given the car is only 5 years old, they indicated that this is a common problem with jeep wranglers and that in that week alone they had done 4 or 5 fuel tank replacements. During all of this my vehicle was undriveable for 2 months. |
